Mission Statement

The Sunshine Shack’s mission is to sustain a community of learners rooted in a pedagogy of relationships and inquiry. We believe that through a specifically planned environment that promotes wonder, imagination, and curiosity, the children will foster connections to the world. Through consistent reflective practice between teachers, children, and parents, our work will remain rooted in relevant emotional development that promotes individual growth and learning. Our mission is to build community through authentic relationships with one another and work toward creating opportunities for the rights and visibility of children.
